Every suggested answer is traceable to imported evidence with explicit passage citations, and unsupported questions are marked 'Needs evidence' rather than hallucinating claims.
Citebound explicitly abstains when evidence is missing or below confidence threshold. Unsupported questions remain blank and are flagged as 'Needs evidence'. An answer cannot be approved without at least one verified passage citation.
No custom backend or third-party server touches your data. Document extraction and evidence matching run locally on your Mac. Optional multi-device sync uses your private Apple CloudKit database (iCloud.com.silosystems.citebound), encrypted by Apple.
Citebound imports questionnaire CSVs while retaining every original row and column. Export always writes to a new file without overwriting your source document. Unapproved or unsupported questions remain blank in the exported CSV.
Citebound requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later on Apple Silicon or Intel Macs. It is a 100% native Mac app built with SwiftUI.
