privacy · stems · formatsNo. Separation runs on your Mac, iPhone or iPad, and the track you drop in never leaves it. There is no account, no telemetry and no analytics, and the privacy manifest declares no tracking. The only network use is the one-time install of the separation model, which you start yourself.
2-stem splits a track into vocals and instrumental, the acapella and karaoke workflow. 4-stem splits it into vocals, drums, bass and other. On Mac, an optional, experimental 6-stem model adds guitar and piano. Preview the result in the mixer with solo, mute, monitor and level for each stem, then export what you need.
The separation model is not part of the app download. Before your first split, press Install model on the Separate screen. Ohm Split shows the size before it starts and the progress while it arrives, and you can cancel. If you press Separate first, the app brings the install into view instead of failing. A built-in sample track lets you try the whole flow once the model is in.
Import WAV, MP3, FLAC or AIFF. Stems are saved as lossless WAV or FLAC. Export one stem, the whole set at once, or a bounce of the mix exactly as you hear it, and share a stem or a bounce as AAC, or as MP3 where your device supports it. Sharing makes a new file; the lossless originals are never replaced.
Only for the one-time model install. Your device downloads the files directly from the public hosts named in the privacy policy, with no account or token, and Silo Systems never sees the transfer. After that, separation is fully offline.
