Help & support.
An 8×8 AI groovebox that runs on your Mac. Here's how to get help with it.
Email a human.
direct · no ticket queueEmail us about anything — a bug, a question about clip generation, controllers, or the model download, or a feature request. Because OhmsGrid runs entirely on your Mac, please don't attach your audio to the message; we can help without it. For non-private questions you can also open an issue on GitHub.
Email support ↵The short answers.
privacy · grid · controllersNo. Clip generation, analysis, and stem separation all run locally on your Apple Silicon Mac — no audio leaves the device, no cloud LLM, no account, no telemetry. The only network egress is the consent-gated download of the open model weights, pulled from public mirrors (ModelScope first, Hugging Face fallback).
Columns are instrument categories — drums, bass, lead, melody, pad, fx, vocal, and percussion — and rows are scenes that trigger together, in the spirit of a Launchpad driving Ableton Live's Session View. Fill pads with generated or sampled clips, then launch scenes to play a full arrangement.
Tap an empty pad and OhmsGrid generates a clip on-device with the ACE-Step 1.5 music model, using your project's key, tempo, and the pad's instrument category as context — so the new clip lands in key, at tempo, and at a duration that fits its column. Everything is computed on your own GPU.
OhmsGrid is Launchpad, Push, and APC40 ready — an 8×8 hardware grid maps naturally onto the software grid, so you can trigger clips and scenes from the pads you already own.
Only for the first-run model provisioning. After you consent, the ACE-Step weights download once from public open-weights mirrors and are cached locally; from then on, generation and playback work fully offline.
OhmsGrid is a one-time purchase of $19.99 on the Mac App Store. No subscription, no generation credits — buy it once and generate as many clips as your Mac can handle.
