Press ⌘O and choose the .xcstrings file your Xcode project ships, or File ▸ Open Sample Catalog to try it first.
Check.
Show Issues (⇧⌘I) lists missing languages, strings marked for review, incomplete plural forms, broken placeholders and stale keys. Click any value to fix it in place.
Ship.
Optionally fill empty entries with your own model (⌘T), then save with ⌘S or export Android XML, Flutter ARB or CSV (⇧⌘E).
Your keys, your device.
byok · privacy · pricingNo. Opening, editing, checking, importing and exporting catalogs work with no key and no network. Only Translate Missing needs somewhere to send entries: an API key you already pay for, or a model server running on this Mac. Any provider bill is between you and that provider.
Nothing until you confirm the count Translate Missing shows. Then, for each entry it fills: the key name, its source text and developer comment, plus your glossary terms and the target language, sent straight from your Mac to the endpoint you configured. Silo Systems runs no server and receives no copy.
Any provider listed in Settings: paste its API key and, if you like, type any model name it offers. Each row names the host its requests go to. A model server on this Mac at 127.0.0.1:11434 needs no key, and Find Local Models lists the models it has installed.
OhmsPolyglot writes a translation only if its placeholders match the source and every glossary term the source uses comes back verbatim. If not, it asks once more, then leaves the entry empty and lists it so you can fill it by hand.
Save stops and asks. Overwrite replaces the file with your version; Reload from Disk opens the file as it is now and discards your unsaved changes in OhmsPolyglot.
In the macOS Keychain, never in the catalog, exports or preferences. Deleting a key in Settings removes it from the Keychain.
