Your profile, postings, drafts, cover letters, and practice history are stored on your device, with no account, telemetry, or analytics, and tailoring runs on the device by default. An optional Bring Your Own Key setting, off until you turn it on and accept its consent notice, sends the content you process to the hosted service whose API key you entered, and the screens where that happens carry a Cloud badge. In version 1.12.0 and earlier, spoken practice answers on iPhone and iPad are transcribed by Apple's speech recognition, which may run on Apple's servers. Silo receives nothing either way.
No, that is the core design rule. Every tailored bullet must cite at least one accomplishment from your profile, and code checks that grounding before a bullet is labeled verified. A bullet with a number its cited evidence lacks is rejected and never exported, weak bullets need your approval before export, and grounding is re-checked after every edit you accept.

Yes. The Full Unlock is a universal purchase, and the app is available now on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Your profile moves between devices as an encrypted, passphrase-protected export you send yourself, for example over AirDrop, so there is no server-side sync or account in the middle.
On devices with Apple Intelligence, tailoring uses the model built into the system. Every other device uses a built-in deterministic engine that works offline. If you prefer a different model, you can bring your own key for a hosted service, and on Mac you can also use an Ollama server running on that same Mac. Whichever engine writes the draft, the same citation and language checks run on it.
It imports PDF, scanned PDF, image, RTF, and plain-text résumés on the device; DOCX is not imported. Job descriptions can be pasted or brought in as a file, and on iPhone and iPad also scanned with the camera or shared as text from another app. With Full Unlock it exports a DOCX, a text-readable single-column PDF, matching résumé Markdown, and a separate preparation file. Only verified or explicitly approved bullets are included.
No. There is no honest universal ATS percentage. Readiness reports concrete checks instead: whether the PDF text parses back, reading order, page count, role dates, standard sections, keyword coverage, linter findings, and provenance state.
On iPhone and iPad, yes. Speech is transcribed on the device and the audio is not kept; if your device cannot transcribe your language on the device, the app asks you to type instead. In version 1.12.0 and earlier, Apple's speech recognition may need a connection and may send the audio to Apple. On Mac you type or paste your answers. Full Unlock saves feedback and attempt history.
Yes, with the built-in engines. Import, screening, tailoring, tracking, practice, and offer modeling all work with no connection. Only a hosted service you choose under the optional Bring Your Own Key setting needs the internet, and only while you use it.
