privacy · analysis · stemsNo. Tempo change, chord and key detection, loop authoring, and stem separation all run on your Mac. There is no cloud service, no account, and no telemetry. Every song you drop in — including the derived stems and analysis — stays on your device.
Ohms Rehearse uses phase-vocoder time stretching to slow any song down to 25% of its original tempo without changing its pitch, so a fast lick stays in the key you're trying to learn. Bar and beat markers stay aligned as you scrub, so looping a hard measure means one drag, not counting samples.
Ohms Rehearse detects the key and the chord progression on-device and shows them lined up with the waveform, so you can play along and see the change as it arrives. Detection is deterministic — the same file always analyzes the same way — and every detection can be corrected inline, with the correction persisted per song.
No. The Spleeter stem-separation model is bundled inside the app, so vocal, drum, bass, and instrumental stems generate immediately after import — there is no first-run download and no external model server involved. Stems are written to a folder you pick, at full quality.
Any format AVFoundation opens on macOS: MP3, WAV, AIFF, M4A/AAC, ALAC, and FLAC. Silo also reads video containers (MP4/MOV) for the audio track when you want to practice along with a live take.
