Import an MP3, AAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC or M4A file you own, up to ten minutes long, and Ohms Rehearse estimates its key and tempo, lays an editable chord timeline along the waveform, and lets you slow, transpose and loop it. A Progressive Loop Coach climbs from your starting tempo to your target on completed passes, a weekly log keeps what actually played, and chord charts export as plain text or ChordPro. An original CC0 practice track is included so you can try all of it first. Ohms Rehearse does not split a song into vocals or instruments; for stems, use Ohm Split.

Set an A-B loop around the bar you keep missing, choose 60% for today and 100% as the goal, and Ohms Rehearse steps the tempo up for you. It counts only the passes that actually played, so the ladder climbs when you have put in the repetitions, not when a timer runs out. Pause, resume or stop at any point.

Every detected chord shows how sure the analysis is, and the ones it is unsure of carry a question mark and an amber underline so you know which to check. Click or tap a chord, or use a keyboard, pick its root and quality, and your correction stays with the song.

Ohms Rehearse never turns on the microphone and never grades your playing. Your song files and practice history stay on your Mac or iPad and never touch a server, which is exactly why the app can be bought once instead of rented.
Take a song down to a quarter speed to learn a fast line, or up to 150% to push yourself, and the pitch stays put while the readout shows the effective BPM. Transpose ±12 semitones independently to play in your key or match a capo.
On-device analysis lays the song's chords along the waveform and estimates its key and tempo. Uncertain chords are marked with a question mark; selecting any chord opens a root and quality picker and saves your correction locally.
Name a loop and it remembers its tempo and transpose. Give it a start and target tempo, step size, repetitions per step and an optional four-beat count-in click. Playback-loop completions advance the ladder; the app never claims to hear a clean pass or a mistake.
Turn on Listen / Play and the coach alternates one pass with the recording and one pass with it silent, so you carry the part. Each pair counts as one repetition, and the weekly practice log records only what actually played.
Export your corrected chord timeline as readable text or standards-compatible ChordPro carrying the key, tempo, timestamps and a confidence note for every chord. No lyrics, tabs, or copyrighted song catalog are bundled.
The original CC0 Practice Ladder track follows the same copy, decode, chord-analysis, library, and playback path as a file you import, so you can try everything before bringing in a song.
