privacy · controls · exportNo. The chosen video is inspected, sampled, quantized, and encoded locally. There is no account, cloud conversion endpoint, analytics, telemetry, or subscription, and the app can convert while your device is offline.
You can trim the source, crop and scale the frame, choose 1–50 fps, adjust playback speed, set 16–256 colors, choose a Bayer dithering level, and hold the final frame for up to two seconds. Presets cover common short-loop starting points.
Yes. On iPhone and iPad, choose a Live Photo through the system Photos picker and Silo Gif uses its paired motion component. If the item has no motion component, choose a regular video instead.
On iPhone and iPad you can save to Photos, copy it, share it, or export it through Files. On Mac you can save to a chosen location, copy it, share it, or send a chosen movie through Finder’s Silo Gif share extension.
GIFs store every sampled frame and have a practical memory budget. Silo Gif shows an estimate before export and keeps a bounded frame count and output size. Trim first, lower the frame rate, or choose a smaller long edge when you need a lighter file.
