privacy · recording · proNo. Capture, transcription, the structured summary, decisions, and cited action items all run on your Mac. Nothing you record leaves the device — there's no cloud LLM, bot, account, telemetry, or analytics. Transcripts and summaries live inside the App Sandbox container.
SiloMeet captures meeting audio directly on your Mac — your microphone and, optionally, system audio through ScreenCaptureKit. No bot joins, no calendar invite is sent, and nothing is uploaded. Recording is explicit: it starts when you start a meeting and ends when you stop or discard it.
Only to capture system audio. ScreenCaptureKit is Apple's supported API for recording the audio playing through your Mac (a remote call), and under the current macOS architecture that API sits behind the Screen Recording privacy permission. SiloMeet captures audio samples only — no screen pixels, screenshots, or video frames are ever stored or transmitted. It's optional; if you skip it, SiloMeet still records your microphone.

No. On Apple-Intelligence-capable Macs with a supported macOS release, summaries use Apple Foundation Models on-device. Other supported Macs use an always-available deterministic extractive engine. Either way, every action item cites a transcript line. The minimum is macOS 14.
Every action item and decision carries a pointer to a real transcript line, and a deterministic citation validator checks that grounding before a summary is trusted — a dangling or fabricated item is rejected, not shown. So instead of trusting a black box, you can tap any claim and jump straight to the verbatim line in the transcript that produced it.
They are coming in version 1.2.0 and are not in the current App Store download. The update adds Command-B bookmarks tied to transcript time, review against exact or nearest lines, and a PDF containing decisions, action items, evidence quotes, owners, bookmarks, engine provenance, and the full line-labelled transcript.
Yes. Recording, transcription, summaries, search, and export work offline. The only outbound classes are App Store updates and links you choose to open. Nothing is synced or collected.
