I · Why This Exists

Privacy is a professional
tool too.

offline · private · informational

Silo Systems builds tools for people who would rather not hand their work to someone else's server. OhmsCounsel applies that discipline to contract review: a faster first read that runs entirely on the machine you already own.

01Offline by default

No cloud component. None.

Every import, summary, clause flag, comparison, and chat answer runs on your Mac via Apple's MLX framework. Models download once from public open-weights repositories, then operate locally for the lifetime of the app. Your documents never leave the machine.

02Your standards

Check contracts against your own playbook.

Define your preferred positions once — liability caps, termination windows, indemnity posture — and OhmsCounsel shows exactly where a contract meets them, falls back, deviates, or stays silent. Generic 'risky clause' lists become 'here is where this departs from your standard.'

03Informational, not advice

A faster first read, with citations.

OhmsCounsel grounds every flag and answer in passages from your own document. It is informational analysis only — not legal advice, and it does not create an attorney-client relationship. It makes your review faster; it does not replace your judgement or your attorney.

No. Documents are imported into a local library and analyzed on-device using Apple's MLX framework. They never leave your Mac. The only outbound traffic is the optional model-weight download you trigger in Settings, which never includes your documents.
