privacy · samples · models · storageNo. Your prompts, edits and pictures stay on your Mac and are never uploaded. There is no account and no telemetry. The only outbound traffic is a model download you approve, fetched anonymously from a public open-weights repository; after that, generation works with Wi-Fi off.
Make a picture from a text prompt, then change it by describing what should be different. You can also import a PNG, JPEG or WebP image and edit it the same way. Every render is saved to a contact sheet with its prompt, seed and size. Lock the seed to explore one composition, run up to four images per batch, and export any picture through the save panel. Command-Return runs the current prompt.
Six sample pictures made with Silo Dream, four generated and two edited, each labeled Sample with the prompt and seed that produced it. Open one to load its settings onto the canvas, or edit it once the image model is installed. Opening a sample never starts a download, and samples are not added to your own history.
Nothing downloads until you agree. The first time you generate, Silo Dream shows the 4.62 GB image model's size, source, license and fit for your Mac and asks before fetching it. The studio stays usable while it downloads, you can cancel or resume from the progress panel, and every file is checked against a pinned SHA-256 fingerprint before the model is switched on.
The model picker also lists a larger optional model for Macs with 64 GB of memory. It only generates, it has its own consent screen, and its download screen says it has not been tested by the developer. You can also import a compatible model folder you already have (a model config plus .safetensors weights); Silo Dream copies it into its own storage and checks it before it appears in the picker.
On your Mac, inside the app's sandbox container under ~/Library/Containers/com.silosystems.silodream/. Nothing is uploaded or synced. Delete model files from the model picker to get the space back. If an earlier version downloaded the video model, this version no longer includes the video studio, and Settings offers to delete those files to recover up to 108.06 GB.
An Apple silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later. 16 GB of memory is recommended for 1024 px images; Macs with 8 GB use a 512 px low-memory mode. Plan for at least 6 GB of free disk space for the default image model.
